June 2022, week 5

I am meant to live in peace

Footnote for yoga class - before playing part 2:
Stand on right foot and bend left knee, grab left foot with both hands, warrior 3 - left foot extended long behind you, pyramid by dropping the raised foot then standing split by bringing left leg up and back (this is side 2 of the end of the 1st 1/2 video

Down dog and bring right foot forward to high lunge, grab left forearm with right hand - stretch up and over there right side, arms back straight up. Hands on hips and bring left knee up to hip height in front of you. Place right hand outside the left thigh and twist. Back to center, then raise left leg up and hinge front body down to standing split. Now play video part 2, ugh!
This is our last week with Brahmacharya, non excess as our guide to living out our intention: I am meant to live in peace. How is this month going for you? Can you take a quick personal inventory - are you in excess right now: Food? Drinks? Gatherings? Isolation? Work? Play? Worry? Comparison? Projection? As the summer starts here there is an overwhelming supply of distractions in front of me - to play, to eat, to gather, to move, etc! I can get pulled in many different directions, so for me I will use this month of Brahmacharya as my launching pad for a more balanced summer, where I say yes when I mean yes and no when I mean no. For me, this will require I stay vigilant on my morning prayers and meditation to keep connecting with myself and as Brahmacharya says “Walking with God”. When I am moving from that centered place, I then am enough, I have enough and I do enough!!! Enough is enough lol! I was at church this past weekend and I loved his message as he was talking about our faith journey : “Be On the way, don’t get in the way and all in to go all the way”. Lets stay out of the way and all in this summer so we can find that peace and joy that we deserve! Lastly, don’t get discouraged if you get bumped around, just get back “on the way”.
