Relax with What Is!

Today in class I read a quote from Baron Baptiste in his 40 Days to Personal Revolution book: “Life is full of pressure and difficult moments. In an instant, we can turn the arrows of strife into opportunities for profound change if we simply learn to relax with what is.” As always, my writings are so practical and logical right? But often so freakin hard to put into action!!!!

Our intention this month is: “Relax with what is.” If you think about it, there are actually 2 parts to this short intention and one must follow the other. First, we need to get present and quiet and name “what is”. What is going on in your life right now? Further, what will be going on in your life in the next few busy months of summer? Yoga, meditation, journaling and quiet walks are all tools we can use to connect to ourselves, which we all need to do.
Once we have gotten connected to “what is” in our lives, then and only then can we try to relax with whatever that is. Once again, logical and practical but sometimes quite difficult. I feel very fortunate to be in the continual study and conversation of awareness, acceptance and trust. Without these in my daily routine, I would miss out on the fullness and richness of my life. Is there anything you are resisting right now? Can you sit with it, own it and then find some comfort in simply relaxing with what is!
