I Am Grounded

What moves you to groundedness and what moves you away?
Hmmmm……..good question for me at the beginning of summer. I know my yoga practice grounds me, teaching, my morning time in meditation, time with my dog, time on the beach and out in nature in anyway and time with family and friends. What moves me away from feeling grounded is truly only in my mind. All that I listed above that grounds me fills up my days on a physical level, but my very overactive mind can cause havoc on me. When life gets busy and full of conflicting opportunities I can be in one place and question should I be somewhere else? Should I be with someone else? Should I be doing something different? Should I be “accomplishing” something? Or should I be reseting and resting? I am using our intention and focus this month, I Am Grounded, to thoughtfully make decisions on how I spend my time, energy and most importantly my brain “energy”!!!! Life is going to rev up in the coming months so lets use these couple of weeks to firmly plant our grounding roots and access who we want to be, what we want to be doing and how we want to show up.

If you are feeling ungrounded right now take a moment to ponder why - maybe you have taken on more than is yours to do or made commitments out of obligation rather than insight. It could just be the ebb and flow of life, or you may be receiving life lessons on a fast track in preparation for something wonderful to come. Lets consciously come from a grounded, centered place this summer and reap the benefits emotionally of living intentionally in our own personal integrity.
